The Southern African Development Community (SADC) is a regional organization comprising 16 countries in southern Africa. SADC envisions a future of enhanced regional unity and prosperity.
By coming together, these nations aspire to create a platform for shared growth, mutual respect, and a brighter future for all, fostering a sense of togetherness that paves the way for a
more prosperous and harmonious Southern Africa.
“Letsogo le tlhapisa le lengwe” is a Tswana African proverb which roughly translates to “It is always good to help each other”, and in the world where we have injustice, hatred, and violence, we can work towards building a more compassionate and peaceful world where we treat each other with dignity and respect.
Recent wars in the Congo and injustices in Palestine, highlight the devastating impact of violence and oppression on communities. These events have resulted in unimaginable suffering and loss of life, continuing to raise concerns about human rights violations.
As individuals, communities, and nations we can come together in solidarity and at the least offer love, support, to those affected. We can make a difference by standing up for love, cooperation, and mutual assistance.
